Formentera: the perfect route

Formentera: the perfect route

The perfect route. After renting the boat, we leave from the island of Ibiza. We leave behind the hustle and bustle of the city's port. Ahead lie 11 beautiful miles from port to port. We’ll enjoy every one of them.

We arrive at s'Espalmador. We sunbathe and walk along the beautiful beach. Back on the boat we travel the incredible coast of Illetes, beautiful!

The passage between the small island of S'Espalmador and Formentera deserves a chapter to itself... Each of the 69 kilometers of the coast deserves a long "wow", a photo, a smile... We stop to swim and build up our appetites. An aperitif in one of the bars on the coast like the famous Pirata restaurant. We will eat at es Molí de Sal or Juan y Andrea or... we’ll just decide on the way. What we do know is that we’ll order "peix sec" (dried fish) salad and fresh fish.

We take a rest in the solarium of the boat, the music plays in the background, enraptured by the incredible scenery we see on the crossing. Back on the route: we sail towards Cala Saona just 15 minutes from Illetas, where we disembark. Its crystal clear waters are an irresistible song of sirens. And we immerse ourselveswithout thinking about it. Sunbathe on the boat, without crowds, enjoying our little eden.

During the afternoon, a bit of sport with wakeboard or inflatable ring. Dares and lots of laughs. We continue to snorkel in the bright depths of the turquoise island. Twilight falls in beautiful Formentera. Back to Ibiza with the feeling of knowing that what matters is made of paradise.
